What to expect

Welcome to Sunday Slowdown, 2 hour Restorative Yoga classes held once a month in the beautiful Sussex countryside, to give yourself time to rest and recalibrate.

We start each gathering with some very gentle movement and breath work, and then come into 3-5 poses for the rest of the class. I will guide you into each pose, using blankets, bolsters and other supports to hold the body so that it can let go completely. We’ll end with a homemade seasonal tea too.

You don’t need to have any previous experience at all, more a willingness to be with whatever arises as you rest.

As my teacher Judith Hanson Lasater says “Practicing Restorative Yoga is radical. It’s a choice to slow down in a world that won’t stop rushing.” Restorative Yoga is more than just relaxation - it’s a radical act against burnout. Against the idea that our worth is tied to how much we do. Against the systems that tell us we must always be striving.

When we choose stillness, we reclaim our energy. When we allow ourselves to rest deeply, we nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits in ways that fuel true, sustainable change.

It is also a science-backed practice that helps regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote healing.

Why not come and experience Restorative Yoga for yourself?

Pickeridge Farm Studio is a new, purpose built studio, and is a wonderfully secluded hidden gem. It offers a unique opportunity to escape without having to travel far from home. Access is via an outdoor staircase, and the studio offers stunning views over the Sussex countryside.

Pickeridge Farm is a small diversified family farm and is situated between the villages of Ardingly and West Hoathly, in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Sussex.

I can't wait to share the gifts of Restorative Yoga with you, and this special, tucked away location.
